Do You Have A Banana Roll?

Before we begin, rest assured, we haven’t gone mad and based an entire article on a fruit-filled baked good you may or may not have for breakfast. What we’re talking about is that dubious pocket of fat just underneath your buttock crease, aptly called the Banana Roll for its uncanny resemblance to the, yes you’ve guessed it, humble banana.

Gone are the days when ‘out of sight, out of mind’ applied to any part of your body. The fact is, backs and butts are having a beauty moment thanks to big-bottomed celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj… and there’s no running away from it.

Brazilian butt lifts are currently up there as one of the hottest new buttock augmentation treatments sweeping the nation, while Banana Roll Lipo is also on the rise as women discover a whole new problem area they weren’t even sure existed a year ago. Sigh.

Banana rolls are extremely common in women due to the weight of the buns causing an extra crease below the buttocks. And the heavier the bottom, the bigger the roll may become, so if you are a member of team ‘flat-butt’, you’re probably safe this time.

The treatment consists of using traditional liposuction to remove the roll and therefore create better definition between the tops of the thighs and the buttocks. It can also be combined with fat transfer, in which your doctor removes excess fat from the thighs and adds it to the butt cheeks for a more desirably bootylicous derriere.

As with any lipo procedure, however, future weight gain will undo all that hard work, so maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle is imperative if you want that butt to last longer than Kim Kardashian’s bleach blonde hair.

Pancake butt, muffin top, banana rolls, what will we fuss over next…?
